Undergraduate degrees at Western are organized into modules. There are numerous mathematics modules that cater to varying degree and career objectives. Interested student are encouraged to contact us or the math department representatives at information sessions at intent to register in FebruaryMarch of each year.<br><br>We encourage our undergraduates to work closely with faculty through undergraduate research programs, the Mathematics Scholars Group and the pizza seminar. Faculty members have successfully mentored scholars elective students and we look forward to helping many more. Undergraduate students are encouraged to join MaCAW (mathematics club).<br><br>Starting with 2022 the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences annually provides the Faculty of Education with qualified graduates from its programs. Applicants must complete their programs of study by August 31 of the year in which they plan to begin the B.Ed. program. Applicants must have successfully completed the equivalent of 10 full university courses at the time of application. Preference is given to applicants who have attained four-year degrees or completed the equivalent of 20 full courses. Applicants must have a minimum average of 70% in their best 10 full undergraduate courses (or the equivalent) as well as a minimum average of 70% in their best 5 full undergraduate Mathematics or Statistics courses.
