课程简介
Management sciences is a broad interdisciplinary study of problem solving and decision making in human organisations. It uses a combination of analytical models and behavioural sciences to address societies' most complex problems. Our students learn traditional skills in supply chain management and optimisations while simultaneously being exposed to cutting-edge research in human computer interaction, energy management, and innovation entrepreneurship. With three main specialisations students and faculty can focus their education and research on the skill set best suited to them, their interests, and their future goals. The department offers an undergraduate degree in management engineering as well as an option in management sciences for students enrolled in another engineering undergraduate program. As with all engineering programs at Waterloo, every undergraduate student takes part in cooperative study with up to six, 4-month work terms conducted between academic study terms. Their practical experience complements and reinforces in-class learning, providing students with a solid and well-grounded education.

The University of Waterloo's celebrated cooperative education program - very popular with undergraduates - is also available for master's graduate students in Management Sciences coursework (MMSc) or thesis (MASc) programs. In the cooperative education program, students combine traditional academic terms with paying work term jobs in industry or government.
