The University offers a bachelor of science (BS) in management information systems (MIS) that prepares students for exciting careers in information systems. The MIS program holds top accreditation through the AACSB-I and gives students a strong foundation of business knowledge and technical competencies, both of which are required for successful careers in IS. This dual emphases of business knowledge and technical skills prepares MIS graduates for short- and long-term career advancements and sets the MIS program apart from technology-only programs. Taught by faculty with doctoral degrees and/or extensive industry experience, the MIS curriculum focuses on system analysis, system development, and project management. Most MIS courses stress hands-on learning of technologies with project assignments that duplicate those found in business and industry. Several core courses require real-world projects that result in working applications adopted by real clients.
