A bachelor's or first-level professional degree from a regionally accredited institution. If the degree is from a non-U.S. college or university, the institution must be recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. The degree must at least be equivalent to a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree or first-level professional degree. The Registrar will vet and make a recommendation to Dean of School of Graduate Studies for approval
A satisfactory academic record.
IELTS - 6.0 with 5.5 minimum in all bands
TOEFL iBT - 79
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the availability of online testing, we will accept the TOEFL at-home test as proof of English proficiency.
Automatic admission is also granted for applicants who meet one of the following criteria:
600 on the GMAT (or equivalent score on the GRE)
500 GMAT (or equivalent score on the GRE) with a 3.00 cumulative or in-major GPA

The Bloch School's Master of Science in Finance (M.S.F.) program stands at the forefront of delivering programs to prepare the next generation of Kansas City leaders in the field of Finance. Our STEM-designated MSF degree will equip you to turn complex financial information into business value and advance your finance career. The Bloch MSF program provides: An entrepreneurial and globally focused curriculum, Preparation for the Chartered Financial Analyst exam (CFA) and A wide variety of course offerings giving you the flexibility to tailor your degree to your goals and to build your technical competencies and soft skills. The Master of Finance program is STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) designated, providing graduates a key advantage in the job market. Additionally, international graduates may be eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT) for up to three years in the U.S, two years more than offered for programs without the designation.<br><br>Students graduating from this program will:<br><br>Analyze financial data to support a given investment decision.<br>Evaluate the historical investment performance of a security/portfolio, including calculating risk and return.<br>Estimate the value of business entities (both public and private) using relevant financial data.<br>Admission Requirements<br>Applicants to the M.S.F. program are considered for admission based on their undergraduate cumulative grade point averages, resumes, goal statements, and other criteria established by the faculty.
