Submit online application
Resume and Essays – uploaded in the online application (questions are available after creating and logging in to your online application and selecting MS in Business Analytics as the program applying to)
GMAT or GRE score report (from exam taken within the last five years) - Application can be reviewed with unofficial score report uploaded online. Official score report should be submitted after a student is offered admission (SMU Cox GMAT school code: HWG-KN-59 and GRE school code: 6660). For 2022 entry terms, SMU Cox will continue a test-optional policy for all MBA and Specialized Masters programs. For the benefits of taking a test, click here to learn more.
Transcripts - Application can be reviewed with unofficial transcripts or degree progress reports showing cumulative GPA and grades for each course taken, Official transcripts are REQUIRED after a student is offered admission.
Transfer Transcripts - We require transcripts from any university/college at which the student earned 12 or more credit hours, Unofficial copies can be uploaded online, Official transfer transcripts are REQUIRED after a student is offered admission.
Two references (name & contact information only - recommendation letters NOT required)
You may submit the online application prior to completing the required exams, but your application will not be reviewed until all materials are received
TOEFL
550 – paper-based examination.
213 – computer-based examination.
80– Internet-based examination overall score
A score of 6.5 on the IELTS English language proficiency examination is acceptable in place of the above scores for the TOEFL examination.

The M.S.B.A. program is an educational experience that provides knowledge and skills in key business analytics disciplines so that students can become successful in their careers. Students will take a total of 33 credit hours, of which 21 credit hours are core (or required) courses and 12 credit hours are electives in this one-year, lock-step program. Each 16-week term is divided into two eight-week modules, A and B, with each module course being two credit hours. To meet student needs, classes are scheduled in the morning, afternoon and evening, Monday through Thursday, as well as Saturday morning. Each class meets for approximately three hours once a week. Students remain with their entering class cohort during the program.<br><br>The Cox School of Business seeks candidates who show a strong potential for success in today's global business environment.
