The Business, Computer, and Information Technology Teacher Education Business Education n program prepares students for a rewarding career teaching business, information technology and computer education subjects to elementary, middle school, and high school students. It is designed to help students acquire competencies and skills in liberal arts, business foundations, and professional teaching studies. This comprehensive K-12 certificate prepares students to teach technology, programming, accounting, entrepreneurship, business law, general business, software applications, business communications, finance, marketing and management. Students study business and computer subjects along with education courses that will help them attain the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful business educators in the K-12 classrooms. They also participate in several field experiences, concluding in the professional student teaching semester, where candidates teach within the local public schools with a certified supervising teacher, further developing and applying their content and teaching skills toward Pennsylvania teacher certification.
