SLU's STEM-certified M.S.-SCM program teaches students how to use quantitative and computer models to provide and distribute the right quantities of the right goods or services to the right location at the right time.<br>The supply chain management profession addresses the critical link between demand creation and fulfillment. Supply chain management professionals participate in fundamental decisions associated with current and future business success, product design, sourcing, transportation, storage, e-commerce and delivery of final goods to the customers. Information technology plays a vital role in making transactions efficient (cost-saving) and effective (meeting customers needs). The global nature of the supply chain industry makes this discipline exciting and rewarding.<br><br>Students in Saint Louis University's Master of Science in Supply Chain Management program will also gain additional exposure to the design, implementation and management of efficient ways to integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses and stores. The curriculum focuses on the theoretical and applied supply chain and logistics skills that are essential in today's competitive global supply chain environment. Students learn operations management, logistics, information technologies, finance, Lean/Six Sigma, ERP, project management and simulation to deliver the analytical skills employed in the public and private sectors.
