Submission of all postsecondary academic transcripts
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. The undergraduate major is typically in business. Individuals with other backgrounds who are interested in the program are invited to discuss their career objectives with the program director to determine if their goals are consistent with the objectives of their program
An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale
Applicants who hold a PhD, MD, LLM, DDS, DNP, EdD, or the equivalent in a recognized field from an accredited program in an acceptable U.S. university need not submit a GMAT/GRE score.
Applicants holding a master's, PharmD, or JD from an accredited program at an acceptable U.S. institution can make a request to waive the GMAT/GRE exam requirement.
Applicants with a 3.2 or better GPA in undergraduate business degrees from AACSB-accredited business programs or a 3.2 or better GPA in undergraduate engineering degrees from ABET-accredited engineering programs can waive the GMAT/GRE requirement. Applicants with a 3.0 or higher GPA and a minimum of three years of full-time professional work experience can make a request to waive the GMAT/GRE exam requirement.

The CMIS graduate program within the Department of Computer Management and Information Systems is a STEM-designated business program. CMIS is an applied business program that focuses on the areas of information systems, software development, computer system architectures, cloud management and related management issues. Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, this program within the School of Business prepares students to practice and advance in positions such as systems analyst, business or data analyst, project leader or manager, technology manager, software developer, system integrator, system administrator, network administrator and consultant. The curriculum includes specific program foundation courses (prerequisite courses), technology and management core courses, career track elective courses, and a final examination. The CMIS program offers transcriptable specializations in project management (four courses) and business analytics (six courses). Courses in the CMIS program are offered in a flexible, evening/hybrid and online formats. Traditional classroom instruction is combined with online assignments, and courses meet one evening per week for seven weeks.<br><br>Students may choose to pursue a Master of Science in Computer Management and Information Systems (MS in CMIS) with a specialization in project management. This specialization equips future business leaders with an understanding of the fundamentals of project management and exposure to areas of key interest to project managers, such as project risk, procurement, quality management, and change management. Coursework addresses many of the concepts covered in the project management certification exam that is administered by the Project Management Institute. Coursework in the specialization balances theoretical concepts with applied exercises and cases. Students have the opportunity to apply project management concepts and processes in a real-world project. These experiences enable the student that specializes in project management to emerge with a much better understanding of the dynamics and challenges associated with projects, as well as effective practices for managing them.
