Leaving Cert Subject Entry Requirements:
O2 OR H6 in Mathematics
O6 OR H7 in English, Irish, a third language, and two other recognised subjects
Special Entry Language Recommendations
Students will need a minimum of grade H4 in Leaving Certificate French or equivalent to take any French language combinations
Applicants with advanced levels of Chinese are welcome on the course Each applicant will take a placement test to ensure registration to the correct level of Chinese language at the start of the course
Beginners German combined with beginners Spanish is not available

International A Level - At least three subjects at A Level Grade C or better and Grade C or better in the remaining subjects at GCSE a total of six distinct subjects required.
If you are -
presenting the Irish school leaving certificate you are required to have attained a H7 or O6 in English.
presenting other examinations through English you are required to have the opens in a new window specified equivalent.
IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
TOEFL IBT - iBT 90 no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL.

Commerce International (BCIT) combines a exible business education from Ireland's leading business school with the linguistic skills and cultural understanding to succeed in the exciting world of international business. Students of the BCIT course are well-grounded in the theory and practice of business management and equipped to understand and comment critically on business issues. To achieve a truly global perspective on business, it is necessary to immerse yourself in the culture and not just learn the vocabulary. As part of the course, BCIT students will also take a range of literature and culture modules from the UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics. Some examples of modules currently on offer include French New Wave Cinema, Surrealism in Spain and Mexico, Grimm's Tales, Italian Cinema and Society. Students are brought to a high level of language proficiency and cultural sensitivity.<br><br>Students on the Commerce International programme will spend Year 3 studying in one of our highly regarded international partner institutions. This mandatory year abroad is an integral part of the BCIT programme and offers a unique opportunity for personal development and academic growth while immersed in the language and culture of the host country. While this immersive experience is a demanding challenge, education experts have shown that these multicultural competencies are strongly linked with innovative thinking and creative performance. In third year, whether at home or abroad, you will also have an opportunity to participate in the BCIT summer internship module, and avail of academic credit for this experiential learning.<br><br>Length of Course:<br>4 Years
