GCSE Mathematics at grade C/4 is required. A-levels: BBB–BBC or 120–112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of two full A-levels, including a grade B in Chemistry or Biology and a second science or Mathematics. Psychology, Statistics, Physics, Applied Science, Human Biology, Geography, PE, and Sociology (case-by-case) are all acceptable as second science A-levels. BTEC: DDM–DMM or 120–112 UCAS tariff points from at least the equivalent of two full A-levels. Combined UCAS tariff qualifications: 120–112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of two full A-levels or equivalent, including a grade B in Chemistry or Biology and a second science or Mathematics. BTEC DDD may be considered depending on subject and units studied. IB: 30–29 points or three Higher Level certificates with 555–554, including Higher Level Chemistry or Biology and a second science or Mathematics at grade 5. Acceptable second science subjects at Higher Level include Computer Science, Design Technology, Physics, and Sport, Exercise and Health Science. The GCSE Maths requirement can also be met with SL Maths grade 4, HL Maths grade 3, or IB Middle Years Maths grade 4.
