课程简介
The University of Queensland's engineering program offers the largest choice of engineering programs in Queensland, with a large number of majors and dual majors. The flexible curriculum equips students to work in both established and newly emerging areas of engineering. Students develop their understanding by applying science and engineering principles to engineering problems of commercial importance. In addition to technical expertise, the program emphasises essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, project management, problem-solving and lifelong learning. The UQ engineering degree is widely accredited and respected and this degree equips students to work both in Australia and overseas. Bachelor of design graduates who possess the ability to think on their feet are in demand as cities and societies expand at a rapid pace. This degree will teach you how to interrogate a brief, challenge assumptions, prototype innovative and sustainable solutions, and generally think outside the box. The complexity and speed of innovation means that your expertise will be needed to address the issues and needs of a contemporary world.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship major caters for those students seeking knowledge and practical experience at working through a business from the ground-up. Students will first be introduced to foundational principles in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which clarifies the entrepreneurial mindset as well as the process. Students then apply this knowledge through a choice of 'in practice' courses, including commercial, social and corporate, which require them to action the entrepreneurial process and begin to create their own venture. Student development then extends beyond the startup phase to understand issues relating to scaling and growing a venture. Students will also have the option for a deeply personal development experience through the course 'Transformative Innovation for 21st Century Challenges', which utilises leadership development theory specifically focused on the consciousness required to manage 21st century complexity.
