Prepare for the degree with an extra foundation year at the start, Learn the essential skills of business management and the role of IT, Increase your employability through industrial placements and Experience a strong sense of community and outreach through various student led social initiatives. You will develop a solid background in the commercial applications of technology and gain good general business skills, enabling you to pursue a broad choice of careers. You will be equipped with the knowledge to undertake professional accreditations such as PRINCE2 (Project Management) or ITIL (ServiceManagement). All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. The course is suitable if you don't meet the entry requirements for our BSc (Hons) Business and Digital Technology course, or you want extra preparation before starting degree-level study. You share the first year with other computing foundation year students, then move on to the degree. You experience and engage in a variety of activities as you progress through the course. We have designed a balanced mix of these activities to help you with the knowledge, understanding and skills we have outlined above, as you develop as a business and ICT student and enhance your employability.<br><br>You graduate from this course a technically literate business professional. You will be able to appreciate not just the issues of business management or impact of information and communication technology, but also the opportunities and methods of implementation offered. The hybrid curriculum of the course, combined with an optional industrial placement, opens doors for you into any industry or sector. This course prepares you for careers such as business analyst roles, project management roles, pre-sales (strategy), general business administration (marketing, finance, human resources) and IT consultancy. Previous graduates of BSc (Honours) Business and Information and Communications Technology have gone on to work for Plusnet, Xerox, Accenture, IBM, Fujitsu, BT, Babcock, Ford and BMW.<br><br>5 Years with Foundation Year and Placement Year Option also Available
