The Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management (GDTM) is a one-year programme designed for students who have a bachelor's degree in a discipline other than Tourism Management and who wish to broaden their career options. For some students, it is a prelude to postgraduate study in Tourism Management, for others it is a bridge into an employment situation which meaningfully utilises their dual skill set.<br><br><br>Taking an internship in tourism is an excellent option for students wishing to gain experience in a competitive industry. Employers today often choose candidates who can show job experience, volunteer work and internships in the relevant area.<br><br>An AIS internship provides real-life experience working within your chosen career. It allows you to acquire skills and knowledge that enhances and rounds out your theoretical learnings, and you'll meet with people who can help take you to the next level in tourism management.<br><br>As well as gaining practical experience in your field, you'll learn to network with fellow professionals and add relevant experience to your CV that will put you in an enviable position when the time comes to apply for your dream job.
