If you already have an HND or foundation degree, this course will allow you to top it up to an honours degree with just one year of additional study. You'll build on your all-round knowledge of business, adding a strong emphasis on hospitality and tourism management within a global context. The course includes specialist modules that cover key issues for hospitality and tourism managers as well as the business of conferences, events and entertainment. There is also a module on international hospitality management, which will give you a wider perspective on operational practices and strategic decision making processes. Northumbria is the only university in the North East of England to be recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Institute of Travel and Tourism, which is the UK's professional body for the travel and tourism industry.
