Studying the International Events Management course at Salford Business School prepares you for a high-level events management career across the globe. From corporate hospitality to music festivals and sports events, the world of events management is fast-paced, varied and ever-evolving. Graduates with professional skills, strategic ability and industry knowledge are highly sought after by employers in a wide range of sectors. You will study at our Salford campus close to Manchester city centre but as part of your degree you will have the opportunity to take part in an international field trip funded by Salford Business School.On the work placement year, you'll have the chance to put the knowledge you gain into practice, either in the UK or abroad. Opportunities to expand your knowledge of another culture are also available through the study abroad exchange or the optional language modules offered throughout the course.<br><br>During your first year, you will build up an understanding of the key business concepts that underpin events management as an area of academic practice. Your practical skills and industry knowledge will be improved upon as the course progresses and optional modules in your second and third year of study allow you to specialise according to your interests or the direction in which you'd like to steer your career. During the course you will learn how to put strategies into practice for hosting international events connected to sports, concerts, festivals, tourism, exhibitions and corporate hospitality.International experience is offered through the optional International Project module in your second year of study. This project is delivered in conjunction with a European partner university.Along with learning industry-specific skills, you'll have chance to improve your employability during your time on the course.
