Join one of the most dynamic, exciting business sectors. Our International Event Management with Marketing degree course will equip you with the knowledge, practical skills and experience needed to successfully market festivals and events to a variety of audiences.You'll benefit from industry guest speakers from companies and organisations that stage events, such as Harley Davidson and the Brighton Centre. There are also field trips to a wide range of event spaces, such as Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour, Wimbledon, London's Olympic Park, Tulleys Shocktober Fest, Christmas Festivals, Brighton Dome and ExCeL London. You'll gain practical experience to help you not only plan and execute your own event but also to market them to the wider public and targeted audiences. The optional placement year is an excellent opportunity to build contacts and gain an advantage in the job market.<br>As founder members of the Association for Events Management Education (AEME), we have a long-standing association with the field. Our staff have backgrounds in corporate, cultural and sporting events sectors, and knowledge on how events can be used to help cultural urban regeneration. They are involved in a wide range of applied sociological and industry-related research. At the start of your second year, if you decide to not continue on your marketing focus you have the opportunity to easily transfer to our International Event Management BSc (Hons).The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) giving you the opportunity to graduate with a degree and a CIM qualification depending on which modules you choose.<br><br>Full-time 3 years With placement year 4 years
