In order to be considered for entry, applicants must have completed:
within the last 5 years, a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a weighted average mark of at least H2B (70%), or equivalent, with a major relevant to the discipline stream within the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Degree with Honours) that they seek to enter,
one or more of an audition, test, interview, workshop, portfolio or folio presentation, as prescribed by the Academic Board for the discipline stream that they seek to enter.
IELTS: total score of at least 6.5 in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0.
TOEFL (internet-based): total score at of least 79 and scores of 21 for writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading and 13 for listening.
TOEFL (paper-based): total score of at least 577 with a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English.
For applicants who have not completed the Victorian Certificate of Education or the International Baccalaureate Diploma, the undergraduate English language requirements must be met.

Theatre at the Victorian College of the Arts provides immersive and rigorous, conservatoire-style preparation for the 21st century performer and theatre maker. We celebrate the full creative potential of you as a creative, collaborative artist and will train you to become both accomplished performers and highly skilled devisors of your own work. The course provides an opportunity for graduates from the VCA's Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre) and theatre graduates of other institutions to develop their potential for practice-based research and deepen their knowledge and practice as an actor, artist, collaborator and theatre maker through a specialised and advanced fourth year of study.
