国际学生入学条件
An audition and interview are required in all cases. Candidates may be required to submit additional audio visual and/or written material. For the audition, candidates should prepare three contrasting sets (at least two tunes) of traditional music, and one of these sets should be a set of reels. For singers, three contrasting songs that demonstrate the scope of your style and repertoire will be required.
Candidates who do not have an undergraduate degree may gain entry by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This will be assessed in the interview and audition. Please see the University guidance on RPL applications here.

If your qualifications have been obtained in a country where English is an official language this will suffice

IELTS - Minimum score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any component.
TOEFL- (paper based) - 580.
TOEFL- (internet based) - 90.

The MA in Irish Traditional Music Performance is designed to provide advanced tuition in the performance of Irish Traditional Music. Instrumental and vocal tuition is provided by a community of world-renowned traditional performers and tutors. Our current regular tutors include Siobhn Peoples (fiddle), Majella Bartley (flute), John Carty (fiddle), Tommy Fitzharris (flute and concertina), Conal OKane (accompaniment) and Blackie OConnell (uilleann pipes).<br>Instrumental development is supplemented by access to five visiting tutors per semester. Recent visiting tutors included Zo Conway and John McIntrye, Clare Egan, Angelina Carberry, Pdraig McGovern, Enda Scahill, Troy McGillivray and Mick OBrien.<br>Academic skills relating to the understanding and critical examination of repertoire, sources and styles of performance, as well as an examination of modern, vocational, non-performance skills such as music business and music technology, form an essential part of the programme content.<br>The MA in Irish Traditional Music Performance is a one-year, full-time postgraduate programme designed to provide advanced tuition in the performance of Irish Traditional Music. Instrumental and vocal tuition is provided by a community of world-renowned traditional performers and tutors. Past tutors have included Frankie Gavin, Liam O'Flynn, Martin Hayes, Matt Cranitch, Michael McGoldrick amongst many others. Academic skills relating to the understanding and critical examination of repertoire, sources and styles of performance, as well as an examination of modern, vocational, non-performance skills such as music business and music technology, form an essential part of the programme content.
