Certificate of English language qualification (Valid IELTS certificate should be provided by applicants whose first language is not English or entry qualification is not English or entry qualification was not obtained in English. Entry qualification obtained from English speaking countries is valid for a maximum period of two years prior to the date of PhD registration)
CV and personal statement
PhD project proposal (This should be pre-agreed with your prospective supervisor and all names and supervision percentage of supervisors in the team at both XJTLU and the University of Liverpool should be listed on the first page of research proposal.)
Two formal recommendation letters with company/university letterhead (It is your responsibility to obtain these letters from your referees and the letters should be issued recently for the purpose of your XJTLU PhD application. The letter cannot be issued by the prospective supervisors.)
Photocopy of your national ID (Chinese student) or passport (international students)
Recent passport-size photograph
Letter of financial support (for self-funded applicants) (template).

Masters degree in an appropriate field of study IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.5 in speaking and writing and minimum 5.5 in other component)
