A candidate shall:
(a) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification, or
(b) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification with a major in a relevant discipline, or
(c) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Bachelor with Honours or AQF Level 9 Masters qualification in a relevant discipline.
A pass grade or better in an English language subject at Australian Year 12 level or overseas equivalent, or An IELTS (Academic) overall score of at least 6.0 with no sub-band less than 5.5, or equivalent TOEFL score of at least 213 in the computer-based test, or at least 79 in the internet-based test with no less than 22 in the written component. For direct admission into undergraduate courses offered by UNE you must have completed an educational qualification considered to be at least equivalent to completion of Year 12 in Australia. Successful completion of the IB with a minimum aggregate score of 26. Assumed knowledge is any two units of English.

The flexible nature of the degree means you can select subjects that relate to your major, as well as units from a range of different areas. You can also immerse yourself in research to dive deeper into your chosen area of study. You will gain a mastery of higher level research and communication skills, detailed knowledge of your selected subject areas and key problem-solving skills. You will graduate more intellectually flexible, with a sharpened analytical mind, be trained to think independently, exercise initiative, and process information effectively.
