112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification listed on the
UCAS tariff calculator , including:
A Levels in at least two subjects including Mathematics and Physics
BTEC Extended Diploma DMM in a relevant subject. Must include distinctions in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics
BTEC Diploma DD in an relevant subject. Must include Distinctions in Mathematics, Further Mathematics
Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject
International Baccalaureate 24 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level and must include Mathematics and Physics at Higher Level
We also welcome applications from students who are taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator, and will assess the suitability, on a case by case basis.
In addition to one of the above, you should have:
GCSE English Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in English
GCSE Mathematics Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics
We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications
IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking, 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).

This exciting new programme combines the knowledge of design principles, ergonomics, engineering science, and manufacturing processes to create multi-functional solutions and products. A career in product design engineering or industrial design will mean you conduct necessary tests to determine whether a product meets all the customer requirements. By the time you graduate, you will be able to merge your knowledge of engineering-reinforced design education and analytical skillset with a sound manufacturing base, enabling you to conceive and develop innovative designs and turn them into manufacturing reality, innovative products and solutions, and profitable businesses.<br>The programme will also offer all students an optional placement year that will enable them to experience the real world and effectively connect their knowledge gained at UEL with it.<br>Gain a solid understanding of the processes and practices of product design engineering or industrial design. Realise the expectations that you'll have as a design engineer within an international workplace that's evolving all the time.<br><br>A core element of this course is engagement with industry experts and real work experience. In year one you will gain a solid grounding in manufacturing and engineering principles. This will be taught through lectures, workshops, and laboratory experimentation.
