Applicants will be expected to have a Bachelors degree with an equivalent of a 65 WAM to gain entry into the program. Given that the program aims to enable practitioners from a wide range of industry sectors to integrate visualisation, simulation and immersive environments into their own work contexts, entry will not be dependant upon a degree cognate with the creative disciplines.

RPL for Admission

Applicants who do not have a Bachelors degree or who have a WAM equivalent between 60-64.9% may apply for RPL for admission into the Graduate Certificate based upon at least 5 years industry experience. Given the transdisciplinary nature of the program industry experience may be in any discipline. Applicants must submit a digital portfolio (PDF, website etc.) containing-

A CV detailing at least 5 years industry experience
5-10 examples of professional achievement (examples of design work, one page descriptions of initiatives they have led, patents, awards, etc.)

A 2 page statement which explains:

Their specific strengths and achievements in their field
How they see visualisation, simulation and immersive design impacting their discipline

Their motivations for joining the program, and how they believe the program will enhance their career

The portfolio will be assessed by Art & Design staff and credit granted upon demonstration of learning outcome equivalence. Students in this category who complete the Graduate Certificate with a WAM of 65 may apply to articulate to the Master of Visualisation, Simulation, and Immersive Design.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be granted for formal and non-formal and informal / workplace learning in accordance with the Recognition of prior learning (coursework programs) procedure for admission or specified credit only.

IELTS - 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest)
TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking)
