In this degree, you will examine environmental, ethical, corporate and consumer dimensions of the fashion and textiles industry through the lens of product management, marketing and retail. You will gain an understanding of the dynamics of the industry, including consumer buying patterns, and how to design, develop, source, communicate and sell fashion products. With emphasis on the emerging markets and innovations of the Asia Pacific region, this degree incorporates the latest innovations in technology, e-commerce, sustainability and emerging consumer trends.<br>As a graduate, you will have the necessary foundation to further specialise and apply your knowledge in fashion enterprise as an emerging entrepreneur or intrapreneur across large, medium or small global fashion enterprises, or further study. In addition to the multitude of fashion management areas you will cover - including fashion buying, merchandise planning and allocation, and trend analysis - this course will emphasise new practices, from data-driven approaches to interactive virtual environments, transparency of global value chains and improved practices in a sustainable and circular economy.<br>Throughout your degree, you will develop expertise across several fashion management areas including. These include fashion buying, merchandise planning and allocation, critical path planning, marketing and brand management, digital fashion marketing and e-commerce, product development, retail store management, range coordination, fashion sourcing and logistics, and trend and data analysis.<br>You will collaborate with industry on projects, connecting with experts and gaining insight into how fashion enterprises operate today, and opportunities to develop new models of practice. You will learn through a range of in-class and online activities that will require both individual and group work. In-class activities develop your ability to enquire, investigate, analyse and solve problems related to the fashion business. You will experience a variety of interactive learning and teaching approaches that include Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, problem-based learning, case study methods fashion business simulations, and global mobility opportunities. The integration of work-based learning and academic learning in this course will allow you to solve authentic workplace problems, and address real issues faced in organisations. You can expect to receive industry peer review on your projects and activities.
