BTEC: DDD, depending on subject studied - advice on acceptability can be provided.
IB: 30 points or three Higher Level certificates with 555, including Standard Level Mathematics grade 4 or Higher Level Mathematics grade 3.
We are also happy to consider a combination of separate IB Diploma Programmes at both Higher and Standard Level. Exact offer levels will vary depending on the range of subjects being taken at higher and standard level, and the course applied for. Please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office for more information. Please note that Maths in the IB is not required if you have already achieved GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above or 4 in IB Middle Years Maths.
From 2021, we will accept grade 4 in either Standard Level Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or Standard Level Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation.
Access to HE Diploma: 45 Level 3 credits at Merit or above
English language requirements for applicants whose first language is not English: IELTS 6.0 overall. TOEFL (iBT) - 76 overall, with a minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing

Based in the top politics department in the country, this course focuses on political and commercial decision-making in an interconnected world. The course prepares students to work in international and national governmental and non-governmental agencies, obtain strategic roles in private companies and in politics, and to develop policy and decision-making through research and analysis. We confront opinions with evidence to understand how the forces that shape our world really work. You have access to some of the best minds in politics and the biggest names in the field. We have the only Regius Professor in Political Science in the UK, an honour conferred by the Queen.
