These two subjects are natural partners. Not only do they sit side-by-side in the world of government, but they also play a significant role in the wider public, private and third sectors. Issues like Brexit, devolution and global financial uncertainty are shaping the world. Understanding economic theory and principles in the context of modern politics and international relations has never been more important. Economics plays a role in every aspect of our lives. This course will help you identify trends, understand the issues and explore the decisions made within business and politics. Youll also learn about non-conventional approaches to economics.<br><br>There's politics in almost everything we do. It's the study of relations among individuals, social groups and nations. Youll cover political and current affairs on this part of the course, getting to the heart of the issues not just what's in the headlines. Youll have the opportunity to specialise in the study of political themes that interest you. Across both disciplines youll develop essential analytical skills, critical evaluation and problem-solving abilities. You can still join this course if you havent studied economics or politics at A-level. Length: 3 years full-time, 4 years with placement, 4 years with overseas study.
