To be eligible for admission to your chosen honours course at UWA, you must:
successfully complete a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university, demonstrating a strong academic performance in the final-year units of the major you intend to undertake
ensure you confirm the specific entry requirements for your chosen honours specialisation
Your degree will normally need to be completed within seven years of your starting honours (depending on the course).
To be eligible for UWA's undergraduate degrees based on previous higher education studies, applicants must have completed one full-time semester or the equivalent of studies at an Australian university and at the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 or higher, and have achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 (7) or above. Applicants must also provide evidence of satisfying UWA's ELC requirements. Applicants who have completed one full-time year or the equivalent of studies at the AQF Level 7 or higher, within the previous two years of application, and achieved a GPA of 4.0 (7) or above are not required to provide separate evidence of ELC to be eligible.

IELTS (Academic) including IELTS for UKVI (Academic)- Minimum overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 (must include Academic Reading and Writing modules)
TOEFL - Essay Rating / Test of Written English (TWE) of 4.5 and either 230 (Computer-based) or 570 (Paper-based) score. Internet-based Test (iBT): An overall score of 82 with a minimum score of: 22 in the Writing section, 18 in the Reading section, 20 in the Speaking section, and 20 in the Listening section for all courses

On a personal level, this major offers a perspective on challenges in your everyday life, and encourages you to question your taken-for-granted beliefs and expectations.<br><br>Anthropology and Sociology offers ways of understanding the complex social dimensions of challenges the world is facing by examining the contexts of human experience and social relationships comparatively across place and time.<br><br>The study of Anthropology and Sociology provides valuable skills for living and working in a globalising and inter-connected world by exposing you to different systems of beliefs, values and practices found among the world's cultures. But it's not just about other cultures. A major in Anthropology and Sociology helps you understand Australian society and its relationship to the world. At a personal level, it offers a perspective on challenges in your everyday life, and encourages you to question your taken-for-granted beliefs. We teach skills in critical thinking, careful observation and record-keeping, oral, visual and written expression, research skills such as interviewing, listening and critical reflection.
