课程简介
通过掌握过去来建立更美好的未来,加入充满活力的维多利亚州研究生历史社区。您会得到设施的好处
Build a better future by mastering the past—join the vibrant postgraduate History community at Victoria. You’ll get the benefit of facilities, support and networks designed to produce world-class research and researchers. Collaborating with your fellow historians in the History workrooms, you’ll get to share feedback, advice and insights into using the unique historical archives available in Wellington. This trove of research sources includes the Alexander Turnbull Library, Te Papa, the Waitangi Tribunal, the National Archives and the National Library. Together, you’ll get to organise and present to the annual New Historians' Conference. Bringing together local, regional and national researchers, the conference is a chance to build the professional connections that can kick-start your career. You’ll enjoy a thriving research culture, strong relationships with staff and practical support through workshops, research seminars and discussion groups. You'll need to complete 120 points over one year, or if studying part time, over a maximum of four years. At Honours level your learning will be more self-directed. You'll have the opportunity to do a 30-point research project and this will include designing, undertaking and reporting on a research project under supervision. As an Honours student you'll be in smaller classes and will be able to build closer relationships with academic staff.
