Access to HE Diploma -The University will not necessarily make conditional offers to all Access candidates but will continue to assess them on an individual basis. BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (formerly BTEC National Diploma) - The University will consider applicants holding BTEC National Diploma and Extended National Diploma Qualifications (QCF, NQF, OCR) on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for further advice on your individual circumstances. A typical offer would be to achieve DMM. International Baccalaureate - 34 points overall or 14 points at HL including 4 at HL or 5 at SL in a second language. IELTS - 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in R&W, 5.5 in S&L). TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (with a minimum of 22 in R, 21 in W, 17 in L, 20 in S. CAE/CPE - 176 overall (with a minimum of 169 in R&W, 162 in S&L).

Our joint honours programme Art History and Hispanic Studies offers a critically engaging and expansive approach to the discipline of art history and you gain written and spoken proficiency in Spanish.Kent's School of Arts is well-known for its innovative programmes in the visual arts. Our programme combines a comprehensive review of art movements, artists and artistic media with opportunities to put your knowledge into practice. As an arts student, you become part of an artistic community based within the School of Arts' Jarman building – a creative hub for students of art history, film, drama and media studies.Our Hispanic Studies degree is suitable for complete beginners in Spanish as well as for more experienced learners.In your first year, you are given a firm foundation in some of the aesthetic, interpretative and methodological approaches in art history. You also receive an introduction to work-related skills directly relevant to employment in the visual arts sector, such as visual arts writing and exhibition curation.The Hispanic studies element of this programme enables you to study a wide range of texts and visual material while improving your written and spoken Spanish skills. You also explore the history, literature and culture of Spain, Cuba and countries in Latin America, giving you a fascinating insight into the Spanish-speaking world.Throughout your second and final years, there are opportunities for you to develop and expand your engagement with both subjects through a range of specialist modules. These may include Renaissance and Baroque art, modernism, Latin American politics, photography and aesthetics as well as Spanish cinema.
