A recognised psychology honours or four year degree (or higher award) completed within the last 10 years with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 5.00 (on QUT's 7 point scale) in the fourth year of study.

The degree must be accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a 4 year training (or equivalent) program.

Applicants with overseas qualifications must provide certification from the Australian Psychological Society (APS) stating their degree is equivalent to APAC-approved, 4 year training in psychology.

IELTS Academic score of 7.5 with Listening and Speaking score of 8,Reading and Writing score of 7; TOEFL iBT score of 105 with Listening score of 28,Reading score of 24, Speaking score of 27, Writing score of 26; Pearson PTE (Academic) score of 73 with Listening and Speaking score of 79, Reading and Writing score of 65; Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 191 with Listening and Speaking score of 200,Reading and Writing score of 185.

Educational and developmental psychology is a diverse and rewarding field that applies psychological science to understand how people adapt to their circumstances within the context of their relationships and the broader systems around them. Work in this field includes supporting individuals with assessment and therapy, and also includes supporting change at broader levels, such as promoting secure attachment relationships, creating and implementing group or whole-school intervention and prevention programs, and contributing to broader societal needs through advocacy, psychoeducation, and promoting psychological research. Educational and developmental psychologists are employed in a wide range of settings and are also able to work as independent (private) practitioners. Educational and developmental psychology may also provide a springboard for other careers, subject to additional or complementary training.Please note that while successful course completion leads directly to general registration as a psychologist, endorsement as an educational and developmental psychologist requires an additional period of approved supervised practice.
