As such, it draws on the research/evidence-base to inform clinical activities. This approach is reflected in each of the three modules. The critical role of research evidence as a unifying perspective for research experiences and clinical activities is viewed as a fundamental aspect of the programme. This integration is achieved through course work, research and clinical activities and the latter two experiences are achieved by close working relationships with selected faculty members. This learning by doing approach benefits students by continuously involving them in active research projects as well as supervised clinical practice. Our aim is to produce graduates who will make a meaningful contribution to service users, the services themselves and the profession of clinical psychology. The training is informed and enriched by input from our Lived Experience Network, a group of people who have experience of services, and the Inequalities/Diversity Advisory Group.
