The Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours is a one-year (full-time or part-time equivalent) program designed for students who have completed an accredited three-year undergraduate degree in psychology and wish to pursue further study toward registration as a psychologist in Australia.This Honours program builds on foundational psychological knowledge, enhancing pre-professional skills such as:Interviewing and counselling techniquesCulturally responsive and ethical psychological practicePsychological assessment and psychometric theoryEvaluation of evidence-based psychological interventions across a variety of contextsUnder the close supervision of experienced academic staff, students undertake a major research project in psychology, gaining valuable experience in research methodologies, data analysis, and critical interpretation of findings.Completion of this course represents the fourth year in the APAC-accredited psychology sequence, qualifying graduates to apply for:The fifth year of training (e.g., Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology or Master of Professional Psychology) as part of the 51 pathway to provisional registration as a psychologistClinical Masters programs for those seeking specialist trainingPostgraduate research programs, including PhD pathways
