This dual degree combines communication, an exciting new area of study that encompasses several disciplines, with a diverse range of arts studies. Realise your full creative potential and be in high demand with this empowering dual degree. You'll develop a critical awareness of how communication influences human lives, through courses that examine the many different forms of communication and technologies used to transmit information. You will grow your understanding and skills in a number of areas, including visual, written, multimedia, spoken and interpersonal communication, and research. Choose to major in Public Relations or Digital Media. The Bachelor of Arts provides a flexible structure with over 40 study areas to choose from. Discover your passion while equipping yourself with the skills to succeed in the changing, global workplace. It gives you the opportunity to learn differently and base your expertise on understanding how and why people interact with each other and the world around them. The core set of courses introduce you to the central features of contemporary communication processes and a range of complementary arts fields, and you then specialise with your choice of major and minor courses to tailor a career path that enables you to achieve your professional and personal goals.<br><br>Psychology is a broad ranging discipline that includes the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes, and the systematic application of this knowledge in specific contexts such as mental health, work, education and sport. Psychology students are equipped with a potent and diverse set of skills including critical thinking, research methodology, statistical analysis, and a deep understanding of human behaviour. Many people who study psychology will choose careers in other fields, where they find their psychology training to be highly relevant and valuable to their lives and work. Those who do go on to become registered psychologists will work in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, government bodies, large corporations, or in private practice. Students who complete the extended major in Psychology will be eligible to apply for Honours in Psychology. The Extended Major is fully accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
