You should have or expect to gain either:
A first or upper second-class honours degree, with psychology or a related discipline as a main field of study, or
An equivalent qualification from an overseas institution
Special consideration is given to applications from mature students without the required formal qualifications where there is evidence of relevant work experience in a position of significant responsibility.
For students whose first language is not English, the following qualifications will meet the English language requirement for entry to a postgraduate course of study:
A first degree from a UK institution or from the CNAA
A first degree from an overseas institution recognised by the Institution as providing adequate evidence of proficiency in the English language, for example, from institutions in Australia, Ireland or the USA.
GCE O-level/GCSE English language or English literature, grade C minimum.
An overall score of 7.0 in the English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum of 6.5 for each subtest.

Develop your skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods while learning how knowledge of psychology is generated in our Research Methods with Psychology MSc. Your training will include research design, statistical research methods and relevant professional software. You will choose specialist options from other psychology master's programmes. You will be trained in psychological research methods covering research design, statistical methods and advanced software incorporating coding skills.<br><br>We also give you a range of module options from other psychology master's programmes.<br><br>This choice enables you to acquire a broad base of psychology knowledge alongside research skills.
