Our BSc (Hons) Psychology in Education programme, accredited by the British Psychological Society, provides a thorough understanding of psychology’s impact on education. Taught by leading experts with a social justice perspective, you will explore learning and development across diverse contexts, including family, early years, and schooling. The BSc (Hons) Psychology in Education offers a comprehensive blend of theoretical and practical insights into the role of psychology within the field of education. This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, ensuring a high standard of academic rigor and professional recognition. Our British Psychological Society accredited programme offers research informed curriculum which integrates Psychology and Education, allowing you to develop applied knowledge and understanding of psychology within a variety of Educational contexts including curriculum design, pedagogy and wider policy. A vocational placement within the UK or overseas in an educational setting which will provide you with valuable reflective practical learning. Option to study overseas - you will have the option to study overseas at one of our partner institutions for a year. Each module is assessed independently, and all modules contain some components of continuous assessment (that means assessment taking place during the teaching terms). Some modules are assessed entirely through coursework, without an end-of-year examination. At the beginning of each module, you'll be given information on how and when you'll be assessed for that module. You'll receive feedback on each assessment within three weeks, so that you can learn from and build on what you have done, including written feedback on your assessments, class feedback, and questions sessions and discussions with your tutor. When exams are included in a module, you’ll have access to marking criteria, and mock exam and marking sessions allow you to get a sense of what to aim for.
