Sport is one of the most significant aspects of our lives: from participating ourselves, to the joy of seeing your team win. Behind everything is sports and exercise science. Using systematic and evidence-based support, the study of this field not only enhances athletic performance at the elite level, but also promotes physical and mental well-being, contributes to advancements in health care and rehabilitation, and ultimately develops our understanding of human potential through the exploration of the function of the body and how it may be manipulated to operate at its optimum. Physiology and Sports Science at University of Glasgow is consistently ranked as the top programme in the UK. The course is well-supported by the College of MVLS and university to provide future-proof training in modern and well-equipped facilities. Your final year can include working as an intern with sports professionals or physical activity/public health providers. You can also achieve funding through the Cathcart Scholarship to train, experience and work as a sports scientist in your third or fourth year, with all costs covered. The course offers unique curricular and extra-curricular opportunities, internships, and scholarships with international collaborators across the world<br>As a student, we equip and prepare you for professional careers in sports science, exercise science, research and teaching - and even for careers that have no sports and exercise element but require high-level graduate analytic, critical, and communication skills.
