Our BA Language and/with Management with Foundation Year allows you to develop a high level of linguistic competence in your chosen language and combine the study of management with an understanding of the cultural context of France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the Spanish-speaking world. The programme will hone the linguistic and intellectual skills you need for efficient negotiation in professional contexts. Language modules will enable you to reach a high level of proficiency in your target language, and acquire useful skills such as essay writing and delivering presentations, whilst management components will give you a good understanding of business and management and the environments in which they operate.<br><br>You will also have the opportunity to study a number of cross-cultural modules exploring specific themes across a variety of language-speaking areas.<br><br>Before proceeding to the main degree, you will spend your Foundation Year preparing yourself for a degree in the arts by improving your study and research skills and gaining arts-related knowledge and understanding. You will also have the opportunity to take a language module as part of the Foundation Year.<br><br>Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, you can automatically progress on to our three-year, full-time evening study BA Language and/with Management.
