All students must meet university entrance requirements to be admitted to the University.Specific requirementsTo enter the Master of Applied Linguistics you willhave been awarded or qualified for a bachelor degree with at least a B grade average across the 200-300 level courses andhave completed relevant teaching and related experience approved by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences as appropriate for entry orhave been awarded or qualified for a postgraduate diploma in second language teaching or a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics or equivalent with at least a B grade average for entry to the Research Pathway or at least a B grade average for entry to the Coursework Pathway.If you have a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics as outlined above you may apply for credit towards Part One of the qualification in accordance with the limits specified in the Recognition of Prior Learning.You will need to provide verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University.You will need to supply a copy of your CV (Curriculum Vitae) containing details of teaching and related work experience.International English Language Requirements IELTS - 6.5 overall and minimum 6.0 in each bandTOEFL iBT Overall score 90 minimum 20 in WritingCambridge English - C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a score of 176. No less than 169 in each skill.NCEL - Level 5PTE - 58 overall and minimum 50 in each communicative skillsLanguageCert - C1 Expert IESOL (LRWS) with HIGH PASS and no less than Pass in each skill or C2 Mastery IESOL (LRWS) with PASS and no less than Pass in each skill
