IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher, or equivalent. TOEFL IBT - 90
International Baccalaureate (IB) with successful completion of a minimum of 24 points.
Cambridge International Examination - a minimum of 120 points on the UCAS Tariff* at A or AS level from any subjects which are broadly equivalent to the subjects in the NCEA approved subject list. Must include at least three subjects (excluding Thinking Skills) with grades D or above. Numeracy: A minimum grade of D in International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) mathematics or any mathematics subject at AS or A level. Literacy: A minimum grade of E in English Language and/or English Literature subject at AS or A level.
General Certificate of Education (GCE) with three A-levels including at least one C gradeor better. A result in General Studies cannot be included among the 3 on which the application is based.

Take your understanding of language and culture further with this one-year honours degree, and research an area of your interest.If you already have a degree in applied language studies, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) can help you advance your skills and make your CV stand out. It can also serve as a pathway to further study at master's or doctoral level. You can choose from advanced level papers in applied language studies - from discourse analysis to interpreting or translation. You complete a research methods paper and papers in advanced theoretical studies, research methods and a supervised 60-point research dissertation that is relevant to your discipline. You should discuss your papers and intended study sequence with your programme leader before enrolling.
