Offers are tariff based, 96 - 128 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification* e.g.:
A Levels: English Literature/English Language/English preferred but not required, General Studies and Key Skills not normally accepted.
BTEC National Extended Diploma: MMM - DDM
Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma: MMM- DDM
City & Guilds Advanced Technical Extended Diploma (1080): considered on a case-by-case basis
International Baccalaureate Diploma: including grade H5 in English Literature/Language
Access: pass required
Welsh Baccalaureate: We will accept this qualification in conjunction with other level 3 qualifications
T Levels: T Levels in a relevant subject considered on a case-by-case basis
Extended Project Qualification: Points can include a relevant Extended Project (EPQ) but must include a minimum 2 full A-levels, or equivalent.
We are happy to accept combinations of the qualifications listed above, as well as alternative Level 3 qualifications such as City & Guilds, Access and Cambridge Technical Diplomas.
We also welcome applications from mature learners.
International Candidates: International Candidates: school leaving qualifications that are equivalent to A levels/Level 3 and/or college diplomas are accepted from countries worldwide (subject to minimum English Language requirements).
IELTS - 6.5 (6.0), TOEFL iBT - 85 overall, (L-20, R-20, S-20,W-22)

This course develops connections between critical study of English Literature and the creative practice of writing in a variety of forms. You will learn to approach texts as both a reader and a writer, discovering synergies between these different perspectives. You will study a broad range of English literature while developing your practical skills, confidence and independent vision as a creative writer. This course offers the chance to develop skills in critical analysis and imaginative problem solving that are relevant to a range of career paths.<br>Taught by experts in the field of English Literary study, alongside experienced novelists and poets, a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Bangor University will enable you to increase your understanding of literature, whilst also helping you to hone you own creative voice as a writer. Indeed, this degree combines the best of both worlds, introducing you to the study of historical and contemporary genres, as you yourself practice writing across a range of commercial and literary genres.<br>Placement Year and International Experience Year Available<br><br>Careers<br>Taught by experienced academics and published novelists and poets, this degree offers students valuable critical insight not only into the study of literature, but the publishing industry itself, and part of what our lecturers can offer is the valuable insight needed to embark on your own career as a writer.<br>Our English Literature and Creative Writing graduates go on to enter into a range of careers, often in the creative and cultural industries, the arts, education, and digital communications sectors. Our students also embark on postgraduate study and training in English Literature, Creative Writing, and related disciplines, so as to train as researchers and lecturers in higher education.
