We are also happy to consider a combination of separate IB Diploma Programmes at both Higher and Standard Level. Exact offer levels will vary depending on the range of subjects being taken at higher and standard level, and the course applied for. Please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office for more information.
Access to HE Diploma: 15 level 3 credits at Distinction and 30 level 3 credits at Merit
We also consider T-levels.

You may be considered for entry into Year 1 of your chosen course. Alternatively, some UK and EU applicants may be considered for Essex Pathways, an additional year of study (known as a foundation year/year 0) helping students gain the necessary skills and knowledge in order to succeed on their chosen course.

TOEFL IBT - 76 overall, with a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing

Our BA Philosophy will feed your intellectual curiosity and challenge your thinking. We embrace the relevance of philosophy to other forms of enquiry - political, cultural, legal, medical, aesthetic and bring this to bear on urgent issues in public life, such as the controversial issues raised by mental health legislation or public policy regarding end of life care.<br>We cover a wide range of topics from the meaning of life to capitalism and its critics, from ancient philosophy to current trends in European thought, and we have particular strengths in the areas of: Ethics, Political philosophy, Philosophy of religion<br>European philosophy (including critical theory, phenomenology, and existentialism)<br><br><br>We know that the world of work is changing.
