Engage critically with some of the deepest questions human beings have asked about life, knowledge, and the world throughout history and the modern day. Diving into ancient Greek, Egyptian and Roman culture, you'll draw together literature, drama, and art to explore how legacies of classical antiquity live on in our world today. Enjoy fantastic module variety that allows you to specialise more as you progress through your degree course. Take on modules such as Reasons to Believe, Philosophy of Mental Health, Just War, and Fantastic Beasts and How to Understand Them: Topics in Philosophy of Biology. Join a vibrant and supportive community where you receive one to one support on coursework and access to talks, cultural trips, podcasts, quizzes and celebrations. Learn from world-class talent in fields as diverse as Metaphysics, Philosophy of Psychiatry, Epistemology, Ethics, Philosophy of Religion and Philosophy of Mind. Immerse yourself in an ancient language and learn another language, diving deeper into literatures that will shape your knowledge of the Classics. You’ll be assessed in different ways to suit each module. At the start of a module, you’ll be told how and when you’ll be assessed. Methods will vary but may include coursework (e.g., essays), group or individual presentations and projects, exams, reports or computer-based assignments.
