课程简介
Looking to shape a fairer, more sustainable world Our International Relations and Development BA equips you with the skills to tackle global challenges, from poverty to climate change. Gain insights across interconnected subjects, engage with expert-led research, and access international opportunities to make a real-world impact. By blending academic insight with practical experience, this course shapes your career and equips you to tackle global challenges. You’ll develop essential skills in problem-solving, communication, and policy-making, preparing you to create meaningful change in global development, politics, and beyond. Our BA International Relations and Development uniquely integrates global development with political analysis, preparing you to tackle pressing global issues. You’ll gain practical experience through placements and study tours, deepen your research and critical thinking skills, and finish by completing a dissertation on a topic of personal interest. This interdisciplinary approach equips you with the knowledge and tools for a career in international development, policy-making, or beyond. Each module is assessed independently, and all modules contain some components of continuous assessment (that means assessment taking place during the teaching terms). Some modules are assessed entirely through coursework, without an end-of-year examination. At the beginning of each module, you'll be given information on how and when you'll be assessed for that module. You'll receive feedback on each assessment within three weeks, so that you can learn from and build on what you have done, including written feedback on your assessments, class feedback, and questions sessions and discussions with your tutor. When exams are included in a module, you’ll have access to marking criteria, and mock exam and marking sessions allow you to get a sense of what to aim for.
