Screens are now everywhere we go and narratives exist simultaneously in digital films, games, television, fan-produced fiction, social media, websites, novels, comics, apps, public art installations, comic cons, YouTube channels, and immersive experiences, to name a few. Come study transmedia virtual reality (VR), immersive reality (IR), interactive media, social media, and mobile media in the new bachelors degree emphasis in Media Arts Production in the Department of Film and Media Arts at the University of Utah. Coming Fall of 2018, The MAP Emphasis provides students an understanding of-and the skills needed to work within-this emerging media environment.<br><br>Career Opportunities<br><br>The Film and Media Arts program will prepare you for careers in advertising, entertainment venues, museums, broadcast media, and film. U graduates have become producers, cinematographers, film editors, graphic designers, media marketing managers, photographers, programmers, recruiters, and writers. Or, continue your education at the graduate level with programs in law, business administration, computer science, or film and production.
