国际学生入学条件
To meet our minimum requirements for admission to any of our undergraduate programs, you need to have graduated from grade 12 secondary school, have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 (C+ or 67%), and have completed 5 grade 12 subjects from the selection of BC Ministry approved courses below (or their equivalents if you completed school internationally or in a province other than British Columbia):
English Studies 12 with a minimum grade of 'C'
Accepted Language Arts subjects
Two other grade 12 academic courses
Mathematics courses
Science
Social Studies
Languages
Two grade 12 elective courses
All elective courses must be grade 12 and can be Ministry Approved, Board Approved or locally developed.
Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies
Arts Education
International Baccalaureate (IB)
3 Higher Level and 3 Standard Level subjects. A minimum requirement of 24 points is recommended to be considered for admission.
Other international applicants
Completion of the highest level of secondary education available in your home country, in a program leading directly to university entrance. You require at least a C+ (67) average in the five courses that most closely match the British Columbia requirements.
Accepted English Language Proficiency Tests
TOEFL - Minimum of 84 out of 120 total points including a minimum score in each of the four skills, Speaking 20/30, Reading 20/30, Writing 18/30, and Listening 20/30.
IELTS - Minimum band 6.5, with no component less than 6.0

For aspiring filmmakers and media artists alike, the Film and Screen Arts (FMSA) program is designed to provide you with the skills and frameworks you need to bring creative projects to life.<br><br>Learn the fundamentals of film and media-making, from analogue and mechanical media to today's digital tools and techniques, including virtual and augmented reality. Whether you dream of becoming a cinematographer, director, set designer, sound designer, or editor, the FMSA program will prepare you for your future as a visual storyteller. The primary focus of Film and Screen Arts is practical, studio-based learning. You'll also take a robust and diverse selection of critical and cultural studies courses. Through both your hands-on and theoretical courses, you'll gain the skills and insights to produce film, video, media installation, sound, and other works at a professional level.<br><br>As you progress through your studies, you'll learn core technical and organizational competencies, and produce your own film and media projects both individually and collaboratively. In your third year of studies, you'll participate in intensive conceptual work, deepening your knowledge of film history and contexts. You'll also have the opportunity to take an internship course, either at ECU through positions with faculty, or with companies and organizations in Vancouver's thriving film industry.<br><br>The program culminates in your fourth year with a capstone project, where you'll produce a piece of work over a longer period of time, allowing for reflection and change throughout development, production, editing, and completion. You'll have opportunities to display and distribute this project by submitting to festivals, galleries, exhibitions, and web-oriented events. Most importantly, you'll graduate with an impressive body of work that will prepare you for further professional and artistic pursuits.
