Future production designers, art directors and set decorators gain a foundation in production, while specializing in skills common to deisgning productions for theater, film, TV and the Web. DePaul's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television emphasizes the technical aspects of media production and explores the relationship between cinema production technologies and creative artistic expression. As a Film and Television student, you will gain practical production experience through classes, internships and DePaul's Project Bluelight program, where you will work with other students and faculty members on a full-length feature film or independent short productions. You will take some classes at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, where you will learn your craft on a DePaul dedicated soundproof soundstage, and work in the same space with professional directors, lighting technicians, filmmakers, set designers and actors.
