As a student in our bachelor of arts degree with an emphasis in studio art, you will get to hone your artistic talents working alongside the same award-winning faculty from our bachelor of fine arts programs, all while having the flexibility to expand your education in fields outside the School of Arts. At only 35 studio hours required to complete this degree, our program is a perfect fit for you if you want to pursue a dual major or a minor in another field to prepare yourself for a career that requires skills and understanding of art and design. Art students who fulfill the grade requirements at the end of their first year meet with the primary School of Art advisor to select an area of specialization. BA students are assigned an advisor within their specialization on completing 30 credits of course work. Students in the studio art program are required to meet with their advisor to declare a single area of studio emphasis.
