MICA's concentration in Sound Art provides an in-depth grounding in sound as an expressive medium. The curriculum focuses on composition, improvisation, computer music, sound installation, psycho-acoustics, soundtrack work, instrument design, sound art, and radio art, as well as critical theory and history. Through the study of the sonic arts at MICA, you will develop an understanding of the countless ways musical composers, sound artists, and visual artists can conceive of an develop sound as a unique and powerful work of art.
