课程简介
Painting, with its many traditions, is a medium put to an extraordinary diversity of contemporary uses. The painting program at Notre Dame seeks to foster individual development within the framework of contemporary practice by emphasizing historical, critical and aesthetic concerns. The M.F.A. in painting is a three-year program that consists primarily of individual studio work and art history classes which culminate in a thesis exhibition. Graduate students work closely with faculty in a 1:1 ratio and formally interact with other M.F.A. students through exhibitions, studio practice and visiting artist seminars.
