You are eligible to apply as a graduate student if you have earned a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.
You must have completed a four-year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association or an equivalent academic preparation before enrollment in the program.
Be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended.
Official Transcripts are required from the university where the bachelor's degree is earned. Submit a word-for-word certified English translation along with the Official original-language transcripts.
Have earned a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.5 from the last degree completed by the candidate or have attained a grade-point average of at least 2.5 (A=4.0) in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted.
Above average class standing at an internationally accredited college or university: the equivalent of at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale is recommended.

The Master of Fine Arts in Art features a rigorous studio program for the serious, responsible and talented student. The curriculum and faculty challenge students to focus on the goal of becoming professional artists. The M.F.A. program provides in-depth study within an approved study plan in the following areas of concentration: ceramics, crafts (including jewelry/metalsmithing and woodworking), creative photography and experimental media, drawing and painting (including printmaking), exhibition design, glass, graphic design, illustration, and sculpture. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design since 1974, the Department of Art offers programs that include: the scholarly fields of art history, theory, analysis and criticism, the studio fields of ceramics, game art, animation and immersive media, creative photography and experimental media, drawing and painting (including printmaking), entertainment arts and animation, exhibition design, glass, graphic and interactive design, illustration, jewelry and metals, and sculpture, and the single subject teaching field of art education/teaching.
