Admissions decisions at UNF are rendered based on academic merit. The state of Florida has implemented minimum admission standards for freshman applicants to all Florida public state universities. In order to be considered, students must have a minimum 2.5 recalculated GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet minimum test score requirements. Regardless of when they graduated from high school, students applying as first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants are required to submit either SAT, ACT and/or CLT test scores. UNF does not require the essay section of the SAT or ACT. A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based) A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS

Contemporary sculpture is interdisciplinary in nature, materials and process follow concept. In this way, we teach our students to take their ideas from initial concept through fruition, emphasizing that the medium should be appropriate to the idea and vice versa. Through research and practice, students create work that is engaging and well-crafted. Technical skill and conceptual skill are integral elements of the sculpture educational experience at UNF. We seek students who are curious, hard-working and passionate about art.
